George Pappadopoulos’ 30 year real estate career encompasses a wide array of experience in asset management, development and construction, structured finance, and portfolio risk management. At Realty Financial Partners he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, closing, and managing, CMBS, structured finance and equity joint venture transactions. Previously, Mr. Pappadopoulos was Director of Risk Management at Property & Portfolio Research (PPR), where he worked with institutional debt investors to set investment strategy. At PPR he led a team that was responsible for the development of risk and investment models for structured finance and whole loan portfolios totaling $350 billion. Mr. Pappadopoulos has been recognized by the CFA Institute and the Real Estate Roundtable as a leading thinker in the application of mortgage risk analytics to both public and private real estate debt, and he has been published in leading professional publications, including The Journal of Portfolio Management, The Handbook of CMBS, The Handbook of Structured Financial Products, and the Real Estate Finance Journal. Prior to PPR, Mr. Pappadopoulos over saw asset level operations of a large apartment portfolio as Princeton Properties’ Director of Operations. In association with GE Capital, he specialized in repositioning distressed assets, and was a 1995 recipient of The Pillars of Industry award from the National Homebuilders’ Association. Mr. Pappadopoulos acquired, developed, and managed his own multifamily portfolio throughout the 1980s. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Trent University and a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate from MIT. |
